Computational Design and a Mother’s Handiwork: 1,000 Resin Butterflies Weave a “Future Craft”

Presented at Shanghai Fashion Week, the Fall/Winter 2026 collection delves deeply into the concept of “Future Craft,” merging cutting-edge technologies such as advanced 3D printing and computational design with traditional handcraft techniques.
More than 1,000 resin butterflies, handcrafted by the designer’s mother, are incorporated into the collection, alongside Eastern-inspired references drawn from a visit to Beijing’s Forbidden City. The result is a dreamlike, three-dimensional texture in which meticulously calculated structures coexist with the warmth and tactility of handmade craft.
