PENULTIMATE

PENULTIMATE was founded in New York by designer Xiang Gao, a graduate of Parsons School of Design. Gao previously worked as a knitwear designer for Calvin Klein 205W39NYC under the direction of Raf Simons. The brand is known for its unique and experimental approach, incorporating handcrafted techniques impossible in mass production to add a distinct sensibility. In 2025, it was also selected as a semifinalist for the LVMH Prize.
