PANTALON X MIKAEL

The collaboration between PANTALON and designer Mikael Muradian began with a chance encounter on the streets of New York. First unveiled at an exhibition held at 66 Greene Street in SoHo, this project will be available in limited release at GR8 starting August 8, 2026. The collection comprises eight pairs of trousers in total. Made using upcycled materials and crafted entirely by hand, each piece is a one-of-a-kind work. Every pair is tailored from a different corduroy fabric, each possessing its own unique silhouette, color, texture, and form. Photographed by photographer Misha Tkachevsky at the artist's workshop inside World Trade Center Tower 3, the project was created in collaboration with artist John Black and his studio, MCLIV STUDIO. Founded by Vladimir Amlinsky and David Khodjamirian, PANTALON regards trousers not merely as clothing, but as a "symbol." At the heart of the brand is corduroy — a fabric once beloved by royalty and scholars, later carried on by workers and artists. PANTALON inherits that history while infusing its work with a quiet, almost childlike sense of pure curiosity. These pieces exist not simply to be worn, but to provoke thought. Mikael Muradian is a young designer based between New York and Italy. Cutting and sewing with a sensibility entirely his own, he places great importance on intuition and continues to create freely, unbound by conventional thinking.
