Collection: FAF x Y's
The theme posed by Y's was: 'What kind of chemical reaction would occur if this fabric with its unique aura were expressed in black?' FAF's answer was 'Japanese black.' They commissioned a dyeing factory that has spent over a century dyeing exclusively kurobmontsuki—the black formal kimono garment of traditional Japanese dress—and succeeded in achieving the black that Y's sought. The fabric born from this process incorporates kantha quilting, fusing the identities of both parties.
