The brand was newly launched in the Fall/Winter 2024–25 season by Riko Mori, designer of the jewelry brand “critical:lab.” Its name combines the Swedish word for stone, “cobble,” and the French partitive article “de,” expressing a desire to endure in history like cobblestones.
